Pharmacy Compass — Terms of Service & User Agreement
Last updated: 9/7/2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Pharmacy Compass") carefully before creating an account or using Pharmacy Compass ("the App," "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By checking the box below and creating an account, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not create an account or use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Pharmacy Compass is a platform that connects patients seeking medication availability with pharmacies across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (including Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah). The Service allows patients to submit drug requests to nearby pharmacies and allows registered pharmacies to respond with availability, and related information.
Pharmacy Compass is a communication and discovery tool only. It does not sell, dispense, prescribe, or supply medication, and it is not a substitute for professional medical or pharmaceutical advice.
2. Eligibility and Account Types
The Service supports two account types:
- Patient Accounts — for individuals seeking to locate medication.
- Pharmacy Accounts — for licensed pharmacies and their authorized staff who wish to respond to patient requests.
By creating an account, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or are using the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- All information you provide (including your name, phone number, and location) is accurate and current.
- If registering a Pharmacy Account, you hold a valid, active pharmacy license issued by the relevant authority (e.g., the Duhok Pharmacy Syndicate or equivalent body) and are authorized to represent that pharmacy on the platform.
We reserve the right to request proof of licensure from any Pharmacy Account and to suspend accounts pending verification.
3. Medical & Pharmaceutical Disclaimer
- Pharmacy Compass does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- Drug availability, pricing, and descriptions submitted by pharmacies are provided by the pharmacies themselves. We do not independently verify the accuracy of this information and are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated listings.
- Any decision to purchase, use, or administer a medication remains solely your responsibility and that of the dispensing pharmacy and/or your treating physician.
- In case of a medical emergency, contact emergency services directly. Do not rely on this Service for urgent medical needs.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent drug requests or responses.
- Impersonate another individual, pharmacy, or entity.
- Use the Service to advertise, sell, or distribute controlled, counterfeit, or illegal substances.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying systems.
- Use another user's account without permission, or share your account credentials with unauthorized parties.
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws in the Kurdistan Region or the Republic of Iraq.
Pharmacy Accounts additionally agree to:
- Respond to patient requests honestly and in good faith, including accurately representing stock availability and pricing.
- Maintain the confidentiality of any patient information received through the platform and use it solely for the purpose of fulfilling the specific request.
- Comply with all applicable pharmacy regulations, licensing requirements, and syndicate rules in their jurisdiction.
5. Privacy & Data Use
We collect and process personal information (such as name, phone number, location, and submitted drug requests) in order to operate the Service, connect patients with pharmacies, and improve the platform.
- Patient drug requests are shared with relevant nearby pharmacies as part of the Service's core function.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Pharmacies receiving patient information through the platform are required to handle it responsibly and only for the purpose of responding to that request.
By using the Service, you consent to this collection and processing of your data as described here and in our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions & Payment (Pharmacy Accounts)
- Pharmacy Accounts may be subject to subscription fees according to the tier selected at signup, billed in Iraqi Dinar (IQD).
- Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be clearly presented at the time of subscription and may be updated with prior notice.
- Failure to maintain an active subscription (where applicable) may result in suspension of the pharmacy's ability to receive or respond to patient requests.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Pharmacy Compass acts solely as an intermediary connecting patients and pharmacies and is not a party to any transaction between them.
- We are not liable for any loss, harm, or damage arising from inaccurate drug availability information, pricing discrepancies, delayed responses, or any transaction conducted between a patient and a pharmacy.
- We are not liable for any adverse health outcome resulting from medication obtained or information exchanged through the Service.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe:
- The account has provided false or misleading information;
- The account has violated these Terms;
- The account poses a risk to patient safety or the integrity of the platform (including, for Pharmacy Accounts, operating without a valid license).
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the contact information associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, without regard to conflict of law principles.
